Connecting with young park advocates at the Los Angeles Theater Academy

Dan Reza, Co-President of CCSEP, gave a short presentation to the Los Angeles Theater Academy (LATA), a mutlilingual children’s theater group that meets at the Adaptive Community Center in Elysian Park.

During the presentation, Dan shared some insight related to the history of Elysian Park, as well as what the park means to the community today. He also explained what CCSEP is and does, and the students were very engaged and asked several good questions. Many of their responses emphasized the importance of keeping the park open for nature, animals, and citizens of LA. Dan brought t-shirts for the students, which were immediately worn.

We want to give a special thanks to Alejandra Flores, the director of LATA, for welcoming us into the space and bringing awareness to our organization’s work.
