Established in 1886, Elysian Park is the oldest park in Los Angeles and is a tremendous natural resource located right next to downtown. Due to its prime location, the Park is under continual threat of development. The mission of the Citizens Committee to Save Elysian Park is to protect the Park from unwanted development and encroachment and to preserve its natural state for future generations.
