Mara Basich-Pease

Mara is a recent addition to both Echo Park and to the Committee, having moved from San Luis Obispo in late 2021 and joining the committee in early 2022. Her background is in environmental science and urban planning, and she now works professionally as a consultant at HR&A Advisors to support more equitable and resilient cities - it only made sense to join the organization doing the same in her own neighborhood. Mara is interested in many aspects of the committee, but plans to focus her time on equitable engagement and strategic planning.
