Elysian Park is a 618 acre park near downtown Los Angeles, which contains picnic areas, hiking trails, scenic views and Dodger Stadium, among other points of interest. The park is encircled by the community of Echo Park to the west, the Golden State Freeway (I-5) to the north, the Los Angeles River to the east, and Chinatown to the south. The park is also bi-furcated on its’ southeast side by the Pasadena Freeway (110).
The two main arteries of the park are Stadium Way and Academy Road, which intersect on the west side of Dodger Stadium, just north of the well known ‘Avenue of the Palms’ (which is actually a continuation of Stadium Way).
The park is also accessible from the Echo Park side via Scott Avenue, as well as where Morton Street intersects Academy Road.
The south east side of the park is accessed from Solano Ave. and Park Row Drive, which comes up off North Broadway on the Chinatown side.
Bike riding is permitted on roads only, not on the trails.
